FAQs

Do you have a card machine?

All of our Reep sites have card machines. We accept all major debit/credit cards. We also accept BACS payments, telephone payments if we never get chance to come in physical contact such as a new car dealership detail where we project manage this process for you. Cash payments are also accepted. All Reep sites are VAT registered. All outstanding invoices must be paid in full before the vehicle leaves a Reep site after works have been completed.

add
I’m having trouble arranging with my dealership for my car to be protect, please can you help?

Of course, we deal with the majority of dealerships nationwide. If you have a new vehicle on the way which you wish to have protected before you take delivery so you can enjoy with the confidence no damage will occur, contact your nearest Reep studio who will happily project manage this process for you. We can keep in contact with your sales executive for the vehicles arrival and arrange logistics with them post PDI to safely collect the vehicle in a covered trailer, detail at our studio and return to the showroom for an amazing handover experience.

add
I’m a couple of hours away from your nearest Reep site, can you pickup my vehicle as I’m too busy to drop it off?

Yes, we are fully insured to collect your vehicle in person, but due to the type of work we are carrying out we recommend obtaining a price for our covered transportation service where we will send a driver to your home and collect your vehicle safely, securely and discretely. This stops the car getting dirty, adding mileage to the vehicle as well as potential stone chips or damage on the journey to and from your nearest studio.

add
I’m worried about bringing my vehicle during the current Covid restrictions.

All Reep sites throughout the UK have undertaken the correct restrictions and precautions to ensure our customers and staff are as safe as possible. We can arrange a covered transporter to collect your vehicle or offer a click and collect service so you don’t have to come into contact with us. Alternatively when government restrictions apply you can visit one of our studios with a face covering to drop off and collect your vehicle safely with the confidence Reep staff will be doing the same. In terms of your vehicle, this is fully sanitised before and after our technicians work on your vehicle.

You do lots of nice and expensive cars, I’m worried you will be too expensive and won’t do my car.

Paint is paint and it all deserves the same amount of care and attention! The price doesn’t change no matter what vehicle it is. (only how big it is!) With PPF options starting at £375.00 + VAT, contact us today no matter what vehicle it is and let us Protect Your Investment.

add
Do I have to choose from one of your options; Front End, Track Pack or Full Car?

No, you can have any combination of panels protected as you want. We have simply categorized the most popular areas into three easy packages for you.

add
What is the best method to wash my car correctly so I don’t ruin all the work Reep have done?

Maintaining your vehicle is now super easy thanks to its protection applied by Reep.

add
Is PPF easy to wash?

Super easy. We recommend to stand 5 feet away from all body panels with PPF when you are jet washing due to the amount of pressure given with the lance. Jet washes are powerful enough to clean concrete driveways so imagine what it can do to PPF and an exposed edge. Please respect the PPF and it will respect you!

add
I’ve just had Full Car PPF, how do I know all PPF will cure properly and be OK for the next 10 years?

With all Full Car PPF services, we offer a complimentary 2 week follow up inspection. This is to carry out its first clean and ensure all the PPF has cured and bonded properly to the paint. If there are any minor edits or places that require additional attention this will be completed now but after that no changes will happen to the PPF.

add
So what is a Ceramic Coat?

A Ceramic Coating (such as Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, or Crystal Serum Light) is a liquid polymer that is applied to the exterior paintwork of a vehicle, it is designed to add additional hardness to the paintwork (10h on the pencil hardness scale) giving the car added protection against the outside environment.

add
Can I wash my car as soon as I have PPF installed to keep it looking shiny?

Unfortunately as tempting as this is, we suggest a 14 day no washing period from the date of application. This is to allow the PPF to cure and heal properly and all edges to bond to the paintwork fully as the adhesive takes time to dry out.

add
Does your PPF heal itself if scratched?

Yes, we only use the highest quality of self-healing PPF. The film has a self-healing topcoat which if scratched by rubbing a dirty sponge over it or driving slightly too close to a hedge it will heal itself with natural heat. If natural heat doesn’t remove the mark then you can help it along with a hair dryer, engine heat or hot water which will accelerate the process.

add
What brand of PPF do you use?

We work extremely closely with dealerships and private clients all over the UK. We are constantly using the latest and best film available on the market where we have a great relationship with the film manufacturer and their pattern making departments. This is to ensure we always have the latest patterns readily available to be pre-cut to fit within mm precision for your vehicle. We use a variety of market leading films such as Llumar, Premiumshield, Profilm and Hexis.

add
What guarantee is offered with your PPF?

All of our PPF products come with a minimum manufacturer guarantee of 7 years as well as a Reep 12 month fitment guarantee for total peace of mind.

add
Do you Ceramic Coat on top of PPF?

Because Ceramic Coatings are designed to chemically bond with the vehicles paintwork there is no point applying it on top of PPF. The only product recommended and approved to work alongside PPF is Gtechniq HALO. This is a Hydrophobic Coating that repels water giving you that nice beading effect that everyone looks for on a new car. It also helps prevents staining from dirt ingression, as well as reducing yellowing caused from UV rays.

add
Why do I need a ceramic coating if I just want PPF to stop stone chips?

There is no better product to protect your car than PPF, however if you are only looking to have the front end protected with PPF to stop stone chips then this will leave the rest of your car open to the elements. Many of our clients will opt for a Front End or Track Pack PPF Package and then ceramic coat the rest of the car to ensure the panels that are not protected with PPF have increased protection against swirl marks, bird lime and acid rain. (and it makes it easier to clean don’t forget!)

add
How long will my paintwork stay protected with a Ceramic Coating?

Our most popular Ceramic Coating options are Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (5-year guarantee) & Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra (9-year guarantee). With both these options we recommend layering this with Gtechniq EXOv4 Hydrophobic Coating. This layer lasts for an additional 18-24 months.

add
My car is brand new, so I guess it doesn’t need cleaning or polishing before ceramic coating?

Even though paintwork is brand new, the vehicle will still have been built weeks if not months before we are likely to receive it. This means lots of pollution from the environment has had chance to sit on the car, multiple technicians moving the vehicle about and it will have been washed at least once if not multiple times before handover at the showroom. For these reasons alone there will almost always be tiny marks here and there which we would not recommend ceramic coating over the top. As a bare minimum with all new vehicles, we recommend a thorough inspection, clean, de-contamination, preparation and single stage machine polish followed by an alcohol wipe to ensure the paint is as good as can be, prior to ceramic coating.

Can you travel to my house to detail my car?

No need! We have multiple locations throughout the UK so most likely we will have a Reep studio near you. Contact us to find out your nearest location and discuss specific requirements. All of our studios are state of the art, purpose-built locations with clean working environments as well as correct lighting and equipment which cannot be replicated at a client’s house.
